Jeffrey Celebrating Failure

Something I try almost every week is a strict workout routine, something I have not followed through once. That accounts to many failures. Now my body weight fluctuates naturally depending on what I eat or drink and the excess calories are not offset by burnt calories from working out.
I’ve learned that I need to better at planning. I need to make strict schedules and write motivational notes to myself every morning and night so working out is always on my mind and it consciously becomes a part of my life.
Not that I am embarrassed by my failures but more ashamed. I am ashamed that I couldn’t keep to a schedule and be the person I want to be. I showed me that np many how mad I say I want something, I’ll never do what I need to achieve it without putting in the required effort.

  1. Hey Jeffrey,
One thing I've learned from going to the gym is that all you need is 2/3 weeks of routine and the rest will follow. If you can make yourself go at least 4 times a week for 3 weeks, it will become habit and you won't want to stop. Even if you don't workout that hard, just getting to the gym and doing something will help you get used to being there and will give you motivation to go back.

  2. Hey Jeffrey,
I've been struggling with the same thing this semester! My gym buddy and I set up a strict schedule for every week but most weeks we haven't gone at all unfortunately. Keeping to schedule and putting in the effort are such a hard thing to keep up with but it's definitely worth the effort despite failures. If you don't succeed, try try again.

  3. Great post. I do the same things. I try really hard to get ready and be prepared for every early morning that comes, but almost 3-4 times a week I have to go through the day without something I forgot at home or something. I agree the best way to be prepared is to spend more time in the planning phase. Learning how tough something like "effort" can be is a great life lesson. You've got this!
