1.     Greek Life (connections/affiliate marketing): V: Very valuable – R: Not totally rare but underutilized today – I: There is only one IFC at UF – N: Hard to substitute anything for the connections built through Greek Life
2.     Connections w/ App Developers & Coders: V: Valuable in terms of saving time and money – R: I know more coders than most I would think – I: Can be imitated but takes work – N: Only substitute available is learning code yourself.
3.     Know the owners of local businesses: V: Valuable in saving time and energy – R: Somewhat rare – I: Takes energy to imitate – N: No substitutes
4.     Knowledge on social media advertisements: V: Extremely Valuable (I can do all internal marketing, don’t have to outsource) – R: Rare enough to where I’d have to pay someone to do it if I didn’t know how to – I: Takes $ and time to imitate – N: No substitute
5.     Knowledge on Colors (know which colors illicit emotions): V: Valuable – R: Most people do not have knowledge on colors and what emotions they illicit – I: Actual knowledge is replicable but not creativity – N: No substitute
6.     Dad as Entrepreneur/Mentor (Show me the way): V: Learn from mistakes he made (valuable) – R: Most dads aren’t entrepreneurs – I: Hard to find a mentor who will treat your project like their own – N: No substitute except for learning info by yourself or finding a different mentor
7.     Business will have an innovative culture with a lot of autonomy: V: Very valuable – R: Somewhat rare with small businesses – I: Not too hard to imitate – N: No substitute for a strong innovative culture
8.     Price is low: V: Low price = high value – R: rare – I: Hard to be so efficient – N: can’t substitute
9.     Have all Equipment Needed to Start (all online business): V: Very valuable ($) – R: not very rare – I: Pretty imitable – N: Could substitute

At this point in time I believe my knowledge with advertising on social media is the most important resource I have. I have the ability to build a google pixel, set up ads that range in purposes from add to cart to building an email list. This means I don’t have to spend more money on advertising than just paying for the advertisements themselves.

    Hey Jeffrey,
    It seems like the majority of your listed resources are connections to other people. I am sure that when you do launch a business of some kind, all these connections will come in handy. I really lack connections. Networking does not come easily to me, so I admire your ability to make ties with so many people. I am sure that this skill will serve you well throughout your life.

Jeffrey Celebrating Failure

Something I try almost every week is a strict workout routine, something I have not followed through once. That accounts to many failures. Now my body weight fluctuates naturally depending on what I eat or drink and the excess calories are not offset by burnt calories from working out. I’ve learned that I need to better at planning. I need to make strict schedules and write motivational notes to myself every morning and night so working out is always on my mind and it consciously becomes a part of my life. Not that I am embarrassed by my failures but more ashamed. I am ashamed that I couldn’t keep to a schedule and be the person I want to be. I showed me that np many how mad I say I want something, I’ll never do what I need to achieve it without putting in the required effort.
